Into a 9 1/2" by 11" dish place a 1st layer of grain, 2nd layer a small amount of umaboshi plum paste spread on top of grain, 3rd layer of refried beans, for the 4th layer place the nori sheets (a thickness of one), 5th layer steamed winter squash put through a food mill, 6th layer is the blanched carrots, the 7th layer more grain, the last layer sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
