Frank's Fig-O-Licious Cookie Bars

------ Fig Spread ------ 2/3 Cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
1 Organic Fig Tree With Lots ½ Tsp Sea Salt
-Of Ripe Figs 3 ¼ Cups Rolled Oats, Ground
2 Tbl Apple Juice 2/3 Cup Canola Oil
Pinch Sea Salt ½ Cup Maple Syrup
------ Cookie Dough ------ 2 Tsp Vanilla

Cook figs with apple juice and sea salt to desired consistency. Combine flour, salt, and oats. Combine oil, syrup, and vanilla. Mix together. Preheat oven to 350° F. Oil a 9" x 9" pan. Spread 1/2 dough in bottom of pan. Cover with fig spread. Spread the rest of the dough on top. Bake 35 min. Cool 1/2 hour and cut into bars. Makes 16 bars.
